~ Audio Mastering

AudioIntegrity uses SEQUOIA 10.1 & WaveLabs 6 DAW's (Digital Audio Workstations) for audio mastering and basic editing tasks. We offer true 16-bit and 24-bit support, all up to 192KHz sample rates. Final projects are delivered as Red Book Pre-master CD's (PMCD's), ready to be sent to your chosen manufacturer for replication or duplication. All master cd's can be burned with CD-Text, UPC and ISRC codes with a final pq code printout. We can also deliver or upload via FTP, a DDP file with all embedded information, directly to your manufacturer (if applicable - pq codes, cd-text etc). Our goal is to make the mastering process as easy and seamless as possible.... from delivery of the mixes to mastering to approval and delivery of the final masters.

Our process...

Applying final equalization to your project helps balance frequencies and enhance the over all sound. With experienced ears and the Z-sys z-Q2 24 bit/96K Digital Mastering EQ or Millenia NSEQ-2 Twin Topology Analog EQ (w/ detented knobs via the quasi-mastering modification), we shape the frequencies that bring your project to life.

Through creative compression and limiting we bring your project up to "radio" CD standards. In this stage of the mastering process we normalize and balance volume levels by applying compression and limiting to create a consistent and dynamic flow from beginning to end (amounts used are determined by the program material and ultimately what sounds good to the ear). With our Crane Song STC-8 Compressor, Millenia TCL-2 Twin Topology Compressor or Manley Variable MU Tube Compressor and the WAVES L2 limiter, we get a tight sound that is "hot", transparent and ready for radio. To ensure quality and preserve resolution, we step it down to the Analog domain and step it up back to Digital using the Lavry Blue AD/DA converters.

For the final stage of the mastering process, after all songs have been mastered, we then edit and sequence each song to your chosen song order. Spacing between songs is done by "feel" rather than set spacing ( 2 sec. or 3 sec.). How the album flows from song to song is also an important factor in the quality of the final project. After a CD copy has been delivered and approved, we then create the final PMCD masters and deliver them to you or your chosen duplicator.

Take us for a FREE test run... you have 2 options:

1) By Regular Mail - If you would like to have a sample mastering done on one song, please send it to us along with a couple bucks for return shipping. We'll master it and send you a sample cd back with your original mix. Make sure you contact us so we know it's on the way.

2) Audio Mastering via FTP - Or, if you have a high speed internet connection, you can upload a full length .wav or .aif file to our FTP site; we'll do our work and post the newly mastered version back for you to download and listen/compare. Please contact us for the URL, instructions, username and password combination for FTP access.

*Please note, this is a free sample mastering of one song. If you like the results and use the final version, then you must pay for it. If you end up not liking the results, then it cost you nothing to sample our services. That's the definition of "free sample mastering".

Mastering Pricing:
All mastering is charged by the song: @ $50/song up to 10 songs, then $25/song after ten; includes all media with no hidden or additional costs! Example: 14 song project = $600 (10 x $50 = $500 + 4 x $25 = $100 == $600.00)

  • 2 PMCD's (CD & Safety Master) with PQ Code printouts (supplied if project is to be duplicated - 3 or more songs)
